Isn't eight pairs a lot for summer?
Merino isn't a winter fiber. It moves sweat and regulates heat, so these work in July as well as they work in January. That's the reason people buy the full rotation instead of a seasonal stash.
How do these compare to the expensive wool brands?
Same merino. Made in the USA. Backed for life, and usually less per pair. We'd rather spend the money on the wool than on the name.
My feet run hot and sweat a lot.
